When you are looking for an item that is right in front of you, but you are incapable of seeing it, because in your mind the color is different, the shape is slightly off, or it is turned in a different orientation than you picture it in your mind.

I named this because I got tired of my wife saying it’s right in front of your face. As time went on we both realized it actually seems to be a thing.
