Tim Horton’s, a chain of restaurants found throughout Canada that sells coffee, donuts, and the like. It takes its name from a famous hockey player who tragically died in a drunk driving accident, which is aboot the most Canadian thing ever.
Canadians love to complain about Tim Horton’s and the decline in its quality due to years of cost-cutting measures. Hence, “Tom Hurtin’s” is likely a reference to the poor quality of Tim Horton’s.
